Valvoline DPF Cleaner
Valvoline DPF Cleaner is an effective way to loosen and remove carbon and ash deposits in diesel-particle filter (DPF) systems, without disassembly. When the DPF system works properly, it burns off particles and hydrocarbons, inevitably causing ash build-up, and a DPF cleaner serves to remove the ashes and ensure the most optimal performance. Add Valvoline DPF Cleaner to your tool collection and be sure that you have a specially-formulated aerosol you can use to properly maintain any diesel-particle filter system.

Applications
Our DPF Cleaner is formulated to be suitable for all diesel-particle filter systems. It is especially important for vehicles that are mostly used for city driving since stop-and-go driving creates more exhaust particles which make the regeneration and filtration process more difficult.
Benefits
Valvoline DPF Cleaner helps optimise engine performance. By keeping the filter clean, you prevent clogging the engine’s exhaust system and thus reduce fuel consumption. Furthermore, regular cleaning of the diesel particulate system prevents or postpones potential damages, in that way prolonging its operating life.
What makes DPF Cleaner by Valvoline one of the most-wanted tools of its kind is the fact that the cleaner is:
- Fast-acting
- Solvent-free
- Non-corrosive
- Non-flammable
Operating Instructions
Before applying Valvoline DPF Cleaner, let the engine cool down to a temperature below 50°C.
Shake the bottle and then place the nozzle at the top. Next, disconnect the pressure or temperature sensor from the system, insert the nozzle into the opening and spray between 3 and 5 times with 5-second intervals. Repeat the process until the DPF Cleaner bottle is completely empty.
Finally, install the temperature or pressure sensor again, start the engine and leave it idle for 15 minutes, after which you can take a half-hour test drive. Note that it is normal to see some steam or liquid released after cleaning.
