Team Valvoline Snatches Three Victories in NHRA Race

Team Valvoline continued its impressive performances Sunday, scoring three victories in the NHRA national event in Memphis, Tenn. and three top fives and five top 10s in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race in Kansas City, Kan.

Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel), Tim Wilkerson (Funny Car) and Craig Treble (Pro Stock Motorcycle) were the NHRA winners. Schumacher and Wilkerson lead in the NHRA's Countdown to 1 championship.

The victory was Schumacher's 13th of the season, the sixth for Wilkerson and the first for Treble, who recently joined Don Schumacher Racing.

Wilkerson defeated three John Force Racing teams to capture the win. He beat John Force in the quarterfinal round, Robert Hight in the semis and Ashley Force in the finals.

"We were lucky enough to get by the three Force cars and that was a tremendous opportunity for us to build on our points," Wilkerson said. "A spectacular weekend of racing."
