Antron Brown Claims Top Fuel Title for Team Valvoline at NHRA Race in Georgia
In an all-Valvoline final, Antron Brown edged Tony Schumacher for the NHRA Top Fuel win Sunday at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Ga.
It was the second win of the season for the first-year dragster driver, who used a quicker starting line reaction time to defeat Schumacher. Brown raced his rail to a quarter-mile pass of 4.537 seconds at 325.15 miles per hour to edge Schumacher's quicker but losing 4.521 at 329.58.
"When you race Tony you have to give it all you got -- he's a five-time champ," said Brown. "I didn't see Tony, but I heard his car. When I saw the win light come on, it felt fantastic."
