      How To Use

      To change your motor oil:

      1. Jack your car up or use drive-on ramps.
      2. Pop the hood. Remove the oil fill cap and dipstick, then use the oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter housing 4-5 complete turns to allow the air to get in so the oil can drain out. Temporarily put the oil pan under the filter to capture any spillage. Place the oil drain pan directly under the drain plug on the engine.
      3. Drain the oil. Using a socket wrench or a combination wrench of the right size, loosen the oil drain plug on the engine and remove it completely. Let the oil drain completely from the engine.
      4. Save the used oil. Collect it in a clean container and take it to a recycling center. To find a recycling drop off point, check with your local auto parts retailer or your municipal recycling center.
      5. Tighten the drain plug. Replace the drain plug on the engine oil pan then tighten it.
      6. Remove the oil filter. Place the drain pan directly under the oil filter. The filter should be removable by hand. If not, use your filter wrench and rotate the filter counter-clockwise to remove it.
      7. Rub the gasket. Before attaching the new filter, rub motor oil on the rubber gasket on the base. If you don't do this, it will be hard to get the filter off the engine the next time. Make sure the gasket from the old filter came off and is not still stuck on the housing.
      8. Screw on the new filter. Screw the new filter onto the filter pipe all the way down to the base (using hands only) until it is tight. Use the filter wrench and turn the filter one- quarter turn more to seal it.
      9. Fill with motor oil. Find the engine oil fill on the valve cover and fill with the amount and kind of new engine oil specified in your owner's manual, usually 4-5 quarts. Cap the oil fill hole.
      10. Lower the car, then start it. Start the engine but do not rev it – just let it idle. Let the car run for about five minutes to warm up the engine and allow the oil to circulate. Check under the vehicle and make sure the filter is not leaking oil onto the pavement. Shut the engine off. Check the dipstick on the engine to make certain it reads "FULL."

I just wanted to say "thank you." I have a 1993 Dodge Caravan with a 3.3 litre engine. I do a lot of freeway driving and a lot of slow driving because I do a paper route. When the Caravan had about 130,000 miles on it, I went to Valvoline Instant Oil Change and saw that they had a product called MaxLife motor oil. I decided to give it a shot, and am I glad I did! I didn't notice a big difference after my first oil change, but after the second I sure did. I have no leaks in the engine, but as the Caravan was getting older, and more miles, it was burning about a quart of oil every 1,200 miles or less. My mileage was about 17 miles per gallon. After using MaxLife, I have not had to put any oil in it. It's been 3,000 miles. My MPG has gone from 17 to 22. That is a huge increase. At this rate, the oil change has paid for itself. My engine runs quiet. Sometimes I have to listen real hard to see if it is really running. I don't know what your company did to have an oil like this, but all I want to say is THANK YOU!
      -Patrick Painter, OHIO

A quick testimonial for your MaxLife oil. I have a Suburban with 140,000 miles. The engine runs strong but was seeping oil around the heads and front seal. I had tried sealing additives with no luck when you came out with MaxLife. Within 2,000 miles of an oil change with MaxLife, there's a noticeable difference. It's dry where it used to seep. I like a product that delivers.
      -Chlee Burleson, LOUISIANA

I am very impressed with your MaxLife oil. I am running it in a 1994 Grand Cherokee with a 5.2 litre V8. The vehicle used to use ½ quart of synthetic oil every 1,000 miles. The vehicle has not used any MaxLife oil in 1,500 miles. The Jeep runs smooth and the gas mileage is slightly better. I hope you keep making MaxLife. It appears to be a fine product.
      -Mark Wilson, NORTH CAROLINA

I tried your MaxLife oil in my 1967 Cougar with 88,000 miles. I really didn't think I would see any difference as it ran very good before the oil change. But, wow, the car has never run better! My car gets driven only when the weather is good and only for pleasure. So sometimes it may be weeks before I drive it. When I start it after sitting for awhile, sometimes the car would blow blue smoke for a few minutes. I assume that this was due to dry valve stem seals. I saw an ad for MaxLife and decided it would be worth a try to soften the seals. I have had no blue smoke since and the car runs smoother and seems to have more power. I am pleased with the new MaxLife oil.
      -Bob McInerney, ONTARIO

I just wanted to tell you I recently switched motor oils to the MaxLife 10W30. I love the stuff. Before using, I had an oil leak and I would go through about ¼ quart every two weeks. After MaxLife, I changed my oil seven weeks ago and my dipstick is still right up on full. I work at a local oil change place (a competitor) and have never seen an oil do as good as your product. Thank you.
      -Chad Cox, UTAH

I have an '89 Dodge Grand Caravan and have used MaxLife oil for a month now when I need to add a quart. My engine has been burning far less oil and I noticed a slight improvement in performance.
      -Aaron Paluzzi, MICHIGAN

Recently I purchased a case of MaxLife oil on account of my truck having 125,000 miles. Since I have used this grade oil, my gas mileage has increased from 12-13 miles a gallon to 18-19 miles a gallon. Just dropping a friendly note to let you know I will use this oil again when I do my next oil change. THANK YOU.
      -Eugene Planty, NEW YORK

I own a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo that was having severe engine noise in the valve train. I tried several products without result. Then I tried the new Valvoline motor oil for older engines and within minutes the noise went away and has not returned. Hats off to this outstanding product. The Rodeo has 130,000 miles on it and now sounds like a new one. Once again, thanks...
      -Rick Hines, FLORIDA

I purchased a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice, new in April 1995. I've used Valvoline oil in this vehicle since we drained the break-in oil. I use Valvoline in all three of my vehicles and have for the past 20 years. I started using MaxLife in my Caprice shortly after you came out with the product and I had about 180,000 miles on my car at that time. I just rolled over 324,000 miles last week on my way to work. The car's motor and transmission are all original and that motor sounds like new. I credit the engine durability to the engine oil. I change this car's oil every 3000 miles, avg. once a month. I am not a salesman but I drive an average of 1000 miles a week to and from work. You ought to see this car. I've never had a motor last this long. Thanks for the great Valvoline products.
      -Scott Birdsall, OKLAHOMA

I have been using MaxLife oil in my 91 Corolla since it came out. Before we started to use it, at around 100k miles, it would lose half the oil within 2000 miles of changing it. We'd have to bring it in at least once between changes to refill it with regular oil. With the MaxLife oil, the engine runs like new at 123k miles and doesn't lose oil as much as before, maybe a litre between oil changes at the absolute worst. I rarely have to worry about checking the oil. The engine runs much smoother with MaxLife oil. The car performs noticeably better, too. Unless someone comes out with a better product, I plan to stick with MaxLife for the rest of my driving years.
      -Rob Henion, NEW YORK

I have used your new product, Valvoline's MaxLife Motor Oil. I am so very pleased with this product so I thought I would write and tell you of my experience with it. My wife and I own a very unusual vehicle - a 1973 21-foot Barth motor home. The motor is a 350 Chevy, with Chevy running gear and chassis. The old Barth has 70,000 miles and runs like new, except for a small rear main leak. I changed the oil and put your new product in the Barth. We then drove from Lady Lake, Florida, to Hilton Head, South Carolina, and back - and used no oil.
      -Tom and Jeanne Taylor, FLORIDA

I have a 1991 Chevrolet Lumina that is the perfect "MaxLife" car. I started using MaxLife when it had 331,000 on the original drive train. The car hit 350,000 yesterday. I drive it 80 miles every day, and still take it on long trips. Since using MaxLife, the engine runs quieter and I truly believe that I will hit 400k, maybe more, on the car. It has never had any motor work at all, and most of the parts under the hood are still original. A great car deserves great oil. I'll let you know if I make it to 400k.
      -Bryce Denny, LOUISIANA

I am a 26 year old medical assistant who owns a 1998 Saturn with 103,000 miles on it. I bought my car brand new. I used to change my oil with whatever was on sale at Wal-Mart. Now, I change my oil every 3,000 miles with a good Fram oil filter and about 4 1/2 quarts of Valvoline MaxLife. It costs me exactly $13.65 cents to change my oil. I get about 430 miles off a tank of gas after I change it. I have about a 10 gallon tank. Since I have been using MaxLife, I have noticed an increase in my gas mileage, smoother acceleration and no mechanical problems to speak of. Every major original part is still in my car...except the air, oil filters and spark plugs. I really understand why Valvoline MaxLife was the Product of the Year. I think it is the best product on the market and I will never put any other oil in my car. I told my parents if they wanted to get me anything for Christmas, they could get me two oil filters and a case of 10W-40 Valvoline MaxLife. Thank you very much.
      -Melanie Sturgeon, WASHINGTON

I own a 1981 Chevy S-10 pick-up with 124,600 miles on it and have been using the Valvoline MaxLife 10W-30 oil in it. It has done an excellent job. Keep making this oil. You guys have the corner on the market.
      -Thomas Holland, TEXAS

I just put 10W30 MaxLife in my wife's 92 Plymouth Voyager with 85,000 miles. At the same time, I also filled the gas tank. We drove it for 200 miles. I filled it again...WOW, what a difference. It idled and ran much better right off the start. Also the BIG difference was the van also got about 4 miles per gallon better mileage. I now am going to put it in our 81 Chevy Malibu wagon with 75,000 miles and our Plymouth with 107,000 miles. I have always believed Valvoline to be the best oil on the market! Thanks for your great service and respect for your customers! Please keep up the great work!
      -John Salkowski, MISSOURI

I've got a 67 Mustang 289 with 70,000 miles that I drive every day. Except for routine maintenance items, everything is original. The switch to MaxLife made an amazing difference in performance. No little leaks, no valvetrain clatter, no problems. I've tried lots of brands and this is the best I've found.
      -Tim Holderle, MISSOURI

I have a 1988 Nissan Maxima that just turned 205,000 miles. I used to get just a little over 300 miles on a tank of gas. After I started using MaxLife, over a year ago, I now get 340-350 miles on a tank of gas. I swear by it and talk it up to all my friends. It is really good oil.
      -Robert Seal, VIRGINIA

I love your MaxLife motor oil. I can tell if I have it under the hood. It really makes a big difference with higher mileage engines. All I can say is that the product lives up to its name and my cars are running great. Thank you........ Valvoline!
      -Brant Dilar, ONTARIO

I have a saturn with 113000 miles. I always got 32 miles on the highway- always. I just tried the MaxLife oil and my mpg jumped to 35. Great Stuff.
      -Andrew DeWolfe

Great product! After buying my used Mazda Protege with 120K miles, I immediately began using MaxLife. Within two oil changes the small oil leak had stopped, the gas mileage increased 8 points (22 to 30 mpg), and the smog tests were slightly cleaner than the previous year! I did make the mistake of using a lesser-quality oil on the last change, and I was plagued with heavy blue smoke at every start-up! I will only use MaxLife from now on! Thanks!
      -Matt Christiansen, TEXAS

Hi Valvoline, I bought a case of your Valvoline for cars over 75,000 miles and my car runs great. I believe my car runs alot smoother. Thank you for making this oil for older cars. Of course, the guys in the part store couldn't beleive that a woman was buying oil for her car. I buy your oil and then have it put in my car. Your fan, Julie Hancock
      -Julie Hancock, GEORGIA

I have a '95 Ford F-150 with 108K miles on it. At around 75K miles it started using 1-2 qts of oil between changes (3000 miles). Two oil changes ago I started using MaxLife, and all oil consumption has ceased. The gas mileage has also increased approx 20%. Even though I'd used a competitor's product for over 20 years, I've become a dedicated Valvoline convert!
      -Lanny Wilson, TEXAS

I have been using MaxLife for the last four oil changes in all our Chrysler/Dodge products, which all have over 140,000 miles. It's a great product. Our engines are smooth and clean.
      -Dale R Hart, INDIANA

We love MaxLife Motor Oil! We have a 1993 Ford Explorer with 370,000 miles on the original engine. People are amazed when we tell them how many miles we have on this vehicle. Even the guys at the oil change place are impressed. We also have a 1990 Toyota Camry with 148,000 miles on it. Between the two cars, we have driven over half a million miles! We're confident that we can get half a million on EACH if we continue to use MaxLife!
      -Donna Kenney, ALABAMA

I have never endorsed ANY automotive product until now. I tried Valvoline MaxLife in my 1978 Eldorado that has 142,000 miles on it. It had leaks from the front cover and oil pan. After driving the vehicle for about a week, the leaks stopped, and the engine runs like it's new. I was so impressed with your product, when I purchased my 1985 Corvette, I changed the oil (the dealership had already done this -- who knows what they use) and put in MaxLife 10W-30. When I purchased the car, it had a oil leak under the tuned-port injection runners and the oil pan. The vehicle had 111,242 miles on it when I bought it. Before it turned 112,000, I checked the engine. No leaks! I'm going to use MaxLife in all of my vehicles. Congratulations on providing the car enthusiast with a product that really works!
      -Charles Ford, TENNESSEE

I am an ASE-certified Master Mechanic and drive a Toyota truck with 339,000 miles on the bottom end. MaxLife reduced my consumption by 50%!! It also seems to run smoother. I am sold on this product! I also use it in my Toyota 4-Runner with 200,000 original miles. I am proud to sell Valvoline products at our shop and feel it is a product we can feel proud to install. I have a 1993 Ford Explorer that I bought from a friend when it had 124,000 miles on it. He had always got about 19.8 MPG. I switched to MaxLife shortly after I bought it. My mileage on trips has increased to 21.5 MPG and the oil consumption has gone down. It now has 168,000 miles on it. By the way, my Honda went 253,496 miles and my Toyata 4X4 PU has almost 178,000 miles on it on a diet of Valvoline oil and quality gas.
      -Matt Janowicz, VIRGINIA

I have a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis with 103,000mi on it. I've used MaxLife since its introduction on the market. Prior to using MaxLife I would have to add 1/2 to 1qt of motor oil between oil changes. I have not had to add since using MaxLife. Also living in a cold weather climate with a V8 engine I've noticed my engine turns over better in sub-zero temps.
      -Michael Larson, WISCONSIN

I have used Valvoline oil for some 10 yrs. Prior I used other oils. But after switching to Valvoline I was delighted with the performance of my car. I currently use MaxLife 10w30 in my 97 Nissan Altima which has 90,000 miles. No other oil has been used in that vehicle. That's why I think I have been able to get that kind of mileage from my car is because I have used Valvoline. Thank you for making a great oil.
      -Wayne Swisher

I just purchased a high mileage GMC TRUCK (120,000 miles on it). The truck was in really good shape, but I was really not ready to buy it with the high mileage. What convinced me was when the owner showed me a quart of MaxLife Oil and told me that he ran only this oil in it. That did it, I bought it on the spot. I have used Valvoline oil for years, but to have a younger man try to convince me about Valvoline well, that was impressive. (my age is 55). I am enjoying my high mileage Jimmy and have NO fears of that engine coming apart. Not even when I'm doing 200 miles per hour.....(NASCAR buff)
      -Glenn Weed, NEW YORK

I have a 92' Mazda. It has close to 300,000 and with MaxLife it runs like it is brand new.
      -Eric Ernest, TEXAS

I own a 1988 Chevrolet Camero, with a 305 (V8) engine and automatic transmission. The car has been in the family since new. It has 206,000+ miles on it. The engine and transmission are original (they have not been overhauled). Start up blue smoke has been a problem for some time. The engine still runs strong. For the past 4 oil changes I have used MaxLife oil. MaxLife oil reduces the amount of blue smoke during start up (vs. using conventional oil). Thanks for making such a great product!!!
      -Carl Jaeckel, WASHINGTON

I own a 1989 VW Jetta. It has 190,000 miles on it and has always had lifter noise. I recently put just a quart of MaxLife 10w-40 oil in it, and I can't believe how quiet it runs...finally a product that lives up to its claims...thanks!
      -Gary Mustage, NEW JERSEY

I normally do not write to companies to comment either way about their product. However, in this case I have to write to say just how impressed I am with one of your products. Valvoline MaxLife motor oil is the product I wish to comment on. I own a 1979 GMC 1500 full-size pick up truck with nearly 500,000 miles on it. I purchased this truck three years ago from a cabinet manufacturing company. It is well used and has had a hard life. In the past three years I have put a lot of time and care into the truck restoring it, but there is one thing that I've always had a problem with. The engine is a rebuilt engine with just over 300,000 miles on the rebuild, and as a result it has some problems. Those problems being that it leaks oil down the valve guide into the number two cylinder and the truck also leaks oil out the rear main seal. I've tried various engine restore and stop leak products with limited success in the past. I realize that repair of those problems would be the best thing to do, but with my high medical bills and other expenses along with lack of proper tools to do those repairs myself. As a result the only choice has been to try all sorts of engine oil stop leak and high mileage motor oils. About six months ago I purchased your MaxLife motor oil on a whim just to see what it was like. Initially, I did not notice any change in the oil leak or the amount of smoke the truck puts out on initial start up after sitting overnight. However, after the second oil change using your product, I began to notice that not only was the amount of smoke the truck put out on start up was less, but also the amount of oil that was left on the driveway overnight was also less. After five oil changes using your product I really began to notice a change for the better. Now it is rare to have any smoke when I first start the truck in the morning, which to me shows that your product helped repair the seal on the valve guide, so now I don't get as much oil leaking into the number two cylinder when the truck sits overnight. The oil that is left in the driveway from the rear main seal has also gone down to about the size of a quarter, this compared to before where the puddle was about three inches across. I've also noticed that the truck runs on average about five degrees cooler than it ever has and there is a slight increase in gas mileage, not to mention that it does not use up as much oil. I've been working on my own vehicles for the last twelve years and have never had an automotive product do what it claims to when it comes to helping an older car regain life and performance. I've been very loyal to Pennzoil ever since I started driving and generally never switch companies once I find one that I like. However, your product has shown that it really is far superior to any of the other motor oils out there designed for high mileage cars and trucks. I now happily tell those I know who have classic and older cars and trucks to give your product a try for six months as it really does seem to work. I've got to thank you for making a product that does what it says and for helping me prolong the life of my truck until the time I can afford to have those items repaired or another engine put into the truck.
      -Doug Riendeau, CALIFORNIA

I have a 1992 Nissan 300ZX with 71,000 miles when I started using MaxLife 10w-30 to help stop a rear main seal minor leak. It has stopped the leak in the first 500 miles of this first oil change. The car has never used oil from new and always had good power, but as it aged there was somewhat of a power loss that the MaxLife has rejuvinated. I will continue to use the MaxLife. I will also start using it in my wife's 1998 Infiniti I 30 with 43,000 miles on it. Great product change it to only make it better.
      -Pete Sushinsky, FLORIDA

In addition to my Dodge Spirit Turbo, I also own a 1989 Ford Escort with about 170K miles on the odometer. I'm a grassroots mechanic, and I'm always looking for the best products for my cars. I've always used Valvoline motor oils. About 8 months ago, I noticed that the Escort had started misfiring on the #4 cylinder. I took the plugs out to inspect them, and found oil fouling on plug 4. I was, needless to say, distressed, finding such a serious condition with my vehicle. I considered using MaxLife motor oil instead of the 20W-50 I had in it. So I changed the oil and used MaxLife. Even after 8 months the problem has not come back, and the car even runs better, and uses no more than 3/4 of a quart between oil changes. I'm impressed.
      -Jeremy Waters, TENNESSEE

I have a 1994 Toyota 4Runner which is not known for its good gas mileage.... but after having an oil change done at an Instant Oil Change Center here in Longmont CO, with MaxLife it increased from 15 mpg to nearly 20 mpg. I have nearly 85000 miles on the vehicle and thought I would never see that kind of mileage again. I have to admit that I did not believe the advertising, but after 3 tank fulls of gas and still getting the 20 mpg.... I'm now a believer. Keep up the good work!

1997 Plymouth Neon expresso. Death with a transmission, right? I thought so too after the chemicals the dealer snuck into my tank burned off. I remember changing the spark plugs and noticing oil dripping off of one of the banks. I immediately thought "I've been ripped off, this thing is going to become another one of those Neon horror stories." After several mechanics found nothing wrong, and the plug always coming out oily, I decided to try something. I bought oil system flush. This cleared out all the gunk that was sealing the rest of the engine. After seeing white smoke pour out of the hood of my newly exploded engine, I decided to try one more thing before taking a shotgun to my car, MaxLife. It cost less, and was an actual oil, not an additive, so I thought it wouldn't do any more damage then already done. I can happily say that my car now outperforms my old V6 Dynasty, has clean plugs, no longer leaks, and runs 25 miles to the gallon! This oil saved my car.

My '96 Chevy Cavalier has approx 115,000 miles on the odometer. I noticed at about 105,000 I was filling up more often and I had developed a small oil leak. At that time, I switched to Valvoline MaxLife oil in an attempt to increase my fuel mileage and hopefully help slow the engine leak. Well, it worked!!! Since making the switch, my oil leak has subsided and I can now drive almost 1.5 weeks on one tank of gas, whereas I could barely make it one week before the switch.....and I am making the same drive everyday! I swear by this oil and I recommend it to all my friends and family. Keep up the good work!!!

I have used Valvoline oil for years. I just traded in my 1994 F150 which had over 176,000 miles with no oil related problems. I also use Valvoline in my wife's 1981 Cadillac with over 115,000 miles. Just switched to Valvoline's MaxLife and it seems to run even smoother. As far as I know, neither of these vehicles has ever had anything other than Valvoline oil in them. Great product.

Just wanted to say thanks for the Valvoline MaxLife Rebate. I used this on my wife's son's car ('95 Ford Taurus with 140K miles). It stopped the rattle on start-up and oil consumption went down. This will be the motor oil of choice for this and any other high mileage vehicles I service.

My mini-van, a 1985 Plymouth Voyager, has 172,000 miles on it and since my dad gave it to me the engine has always knocked, or sounded like a type writer. I keep good care of it by adding different products during oil changes, but it always started really hard, or didn't start at all in the winter time. So this year, I decided to try out Valvoline's MaxLife when I did my oil change for the upcoming winter. It has been two weeks since I changed the oil and my engine doesn't sound like a type writer anymore, and it starts a lot better than in past winters too. I thank you for making this type of oil. Maybe my van will actually make it to 200,000 miles. My wife thanks you too. It seemed like I was always working on my van to get it running right, but now I can spend more time with her. What you say about your product is true. My van now runs and sounds like I have a new engine under the hood. Valvoline's MaxLife oil is the only oil I will ever use in my van ever again. Thanks again.

I wanted to tell you how satisfied I am with your products. I have a 1998 Dodge Stratus and have 263,500 miles on it. Since I purchased it, I have used only Valvoline oil products. I now use MaxLife and amazingly I still get the same gas mileage I did when I first got the car. Many service technicians think I'm setting some kind of record for miles on a Dodge Stratus. I tell them its the Valvoline. Thank you Valvoline! I won't use anything else.

Just wanted to take a few minutes and compliment you on this fine product. I have a 1991 Honda Prelude with 131,000 miles on it. I have been pampering it since I bought it used four years ago with 78,500 miles. The one problem with the car since I bought it is oil consumption. It burns about 1 quart for every one thousand miles of driving. I tried many products which claim to reduce oil consumption...none of them worked, including Castrol High Mileage. But, after trying Valvoline's MaxLife for the first time, I really can't believe the outstanding results...absolutely no oil burning, it completely stopped consuming oil, and the car starts much easier on cold mornings! You guys have made an outstanding product. I only ask one favor, PLEASE do NOT change the formula! If you do, do so only to make it better!! Congratulations on this very fine product!!! Thank you.

Hello, I am from New York and this winter is a bitter one. For my last two oil changes I have used Valvoline's MaxLife oil. My car is a 1988 Toyota Camry and it doesn't burn a drop of oil and is pushing 130,000 miles. With MaxLife, I have gotten better gas mileage and better cold New York winter starts. Hopefully with the help of MaxLife products my car will live to see its 20th birthday in 2008. I just want to thank Valvoline for my extra money from better gas mileage.

I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 high output engine. The Jeep has almost 165k miles on it. I used to always use the Quaker State 4x4 blend and was never really all that pleased with its performance so I switched to MaxLife last oil change, which was 1,000 miles ago. My 6 cylinder Jeep motor is known for a few bad things. 1. The rear main seal always leaks; and 2. Lifter noise due to the hydraulic lifters clogging up. After 500 miles, I noticed that the rear main leak had completely stopped and am now noticing that the lifter noise is significantly reduced. I needed an oil that won't let my Jeep leave me stranded on the trail, so I am switching from Quaker State to Valvoline. I am also switching all of my parents' cars to Valvoline too, now that I have seen the proven performance of your oil. I work at Kragen Auto Parts and noticed you recently came out with a synthetic version of your MaxLife. I can't wait to drive another 2000 miles so I can try that out too.
      -Jonathan Perakis, CALIFORNIA

I have a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado with the 350 (5.7L) engine. I've had the truck since it was new and I've always changed the oil every 3,000 miles and have always used Valvoline's 10W-30 motor oil. When my truck reached appoximately 78,000 miles, I switched to Valvoline's MaxLife 10W-30 and I can honestly say I've seen an increase of roughly 1-2 mpg, and my truck now has 114,000 miles! I'm very impressed with this motor oil, and as far as I'm concerned, I will never use anything else, not even in a new vehicle.
      -Matthew Anderson, KENTUCKY

I own a 1985 Ford Ranger which was purchased brand new. I have used Valvoline MaxLife 10-40W exclusively since attaining 100,000 miles in 1995. This vehicle currently has 246,000 miles on the original engine and drive train and runs as good as it did brand new. The engine type is a 2.8 Liter V-6, which averages over 21 miles per gallon. This is a testimony to both the Ford Motor Company for building a quality product and to Valvoline for providing a product that has aided this vehicle on its long continuous journey. This vehicle is currently being driven 40 miles per day back and forth to work. Thanks Ford and Valvoline for as my floor mats state "The Best Never Rest".
      -Fred Hutsell, CALIFORNIA

I have used Valvoline in all my vehicles religiously for as long as I can remember. I have a 1991 GMC Safari van that I bought new in Sept. 1990. I have ALWAYS changed the filter (AC) and oil every 3000 miles. Other than a few alternators, a rebuilt transmission, basic brake work, and a few other minor repairs, thats it for maintenance!! The engine has NEVER BEEN OPENED and is in excellent shape. It doesn't use oil and it runs like the day I bought it. I use it every day. It currently has 305,686 miles on it!!! Two years ago I switched from 10-40 wt. MaxLife to 20-50 wt. MaxLife. I did this because my oil pressure was low, however, with the 20-50 wt. my oil pressure is normal again. I just wanted to thank your company for keeping my engine running and in GOOD HEALTH!!!

Growing up, I have always used Valvoline in my cars. I now work as an auto mechanic and still use Valvoline. One day I knew I was behind on my oil change on my 1997 Plymouth Breeze with 116,000 miles. Now the shop that I work at doesn't promote Valvoline, they promote another oil company. So I decided that I would change my oil using that oil. I noticed that after about a week my car was running a little rough. Now my car always leaked a little oil, maybe about one quart every 1,000 - 1,500 miles, so I haven't been too concerned. After I used the other product, I was loosing about one quart a week. Now I was really concerned that something was seriously wrong. It went on for about four weeks and I just poured oil in. Then I got to think about why it was leaking so badly, so I went out and bought MaxLife, because that's what I have but in my car since it came out a few years ago. I changed my oil and filter and now I haven't lost a drop of oil. I just wanted to write and say THANK YOU for making such a great product and that I am a firm believer and will always recommend and use your products.
      -Chris Falkner

I have a 1990 Honda Accord and I started changing the oil with Valvoline MaxLife at 138,096 miles. After changing the oil, my car runs like brand new! It also runs smoothly than ever and the leaks stopped! My car has now 141,686 miles. I will use Valvoline MaxLife from now on!
      -Mike Hernandez, ILLINOIS

We have a '94 Astro Conversion van with 157,000 miles on it and have been using both the Max life oil and tranny fluid. Since the vehicle is maintained by us all fluids are Valvoline. Been a user for over 40 years and all our vehicles have gone well over 200,000+ miles. Just as the cold is bad for the northern people, the heat in Florida is just as bad, expecially on tranny's. We have a new vehicle now also and it is already on Maxlife. Why not!
      -Tim Kelly, FLORIDA

I'm hooked on MaxLife, recommend it to other Saturn owners, and have even started giving it as a gift to my friends with high-mileage cars. Thanks, Valvoline!
      -Steven Kapetansky, OHIO

I have a 1985 GMC S15 Jimmy 4x4 That was purchased new in September of 1984. I have always used Valvoline Oil in this truck. When it hit 100,000 miles, I started using Max Life Oil (This was not available when my truck hit 75,000 miles. Needless to say, today this Jimmy is still running strong in the original 2.8 V6 engine, which now has 332,000 miles on it. This truck will never give up !!! This is a good test of your High Quality oils.
      -Doug Jewell, Florida

I have a 97 Jeep ZJ with the 4.0 i6. I got it at 115000 miles at 120000 I started doing my own oil changes with Valvoline DuraBlend and I loved it. It made the biggest differece compared to regular oil. at 130,000 I changed it to MaxLife and I can't believe the difference. The Jeep is 10 times quieter than it was before and it runs so smooth now. Can't even feel it idle. Thank you Valvoline for a great product.
      -Ryan

I am a proud owner of a 1982 Chevy S10 (the first year of its model)and I have used MaxLife 10w-30 since I've owned it for three years now. My truck is getting up there in age and that means keeping it running strong with oil that is not only inexpensive but delivers a promise, to keep my engine running smooth. The "other guys" can't touch Valvoline because they believe in giving you top of the line oils and products without breaking your wallet. I'm restoring my truck right now and when the time comes to drop in a re-manufactured engine believe me, it will run Valvoline conventional oil from the start. It's only tradition to run Valvoline.
      -Justin Edgell, Kentucky

I want to thank you for producing such a great motor oil. I have 250,000 miles on my 94 Toyota 4-Runner and have switched motor oils brands between my oil changes to prove too myself if ALL oil brands are the same. Was I wrong-Maxlife 10/30 got me better performance in reference to gas mileage. Not to mention the Tech Support is great in terms of choosing the right motor oil for my truck.
