Overview
Pyroil® Transmission Sealer & Conditioner helps stop leaking transmissions. Its special seal swellers soften O-rings and gasket seals.
How It Works: Rubber seals and O-rings used in automatic transmissions contain plasticizers which make seals soft and pliable. Plasticizers normally contribute between four and seven percent to the volume of rubber seals. Hot transmission fluid removes plasticizers from seals and O-rings causing them to become hard and brittle. Removing plasticizers also causes seals to shrink four to seven percent allowing transmission fluid to leak. Unlike some harsh seal swellers that continue to swell seals beyond their normal size making them weak and spongy, Pyroil Transmission Sealer gently swells seals back to their original size only.
How To Use
Add to transmission filter pipe. Do not overfill. If leak persists after 200-300 miles, add a second bottle. If leak still continues, seal may need replacing. Adding Pyroil® Transmission Sealer every 15,000 miles helps keep seals and O-rings pliable. Pyroil® Transmission Sealer can be added to transmission fluid without the need to change the fluid in a few hundred miles like some competitive products.
