Valvoline has been involved in racing in America for more than 100 years so it figures that Valvoline was present when they were racing on the sand at Daytona Beach in 1949 when NASCAR was born.
The list of Valvoline sponsored drivers over the years in NASCAR is a long one and includes such stalwarts as Junior Johnson, Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, Neil Bonnett, Bill Elliott and Mark Martin. Valvoline has shared in seven NASCAR championships. Valvoline made history in 2001 by becoming the first consumer product to not only sponsor a NASCAR team, but own it.
